The Default Specialist plays a key role within Amherst’s Default department, serving as the primary point of contact between the company, law firms, sheriffs, and third-party vendors throughout the legal and default management process. This role is responsible for managing case communication and documentation, coordinating notice distribution, tracking case progress, and generating reports that support accurate, data-driven decisions for the legal team. Through proactive case follow-up, precise record-keeping, and responsive support to residents and law firms, the Default Specialist helps the department resolve legal and default cases efficiently, compliantly, and on time.
