Specialist Data Engineer- Software Development

Design, develop, and maintain scalable data engineering solutions, backend services, and AI-powered applications that support enterprise business needs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, cloud-based data, integration, and GenAI solutions while ensuring high standards of code quality, performance, and reliability. Contribute to the full software development lifecycle, including system design, DevSecOps practices, deployment, and continuous improvement in an Agile environment.

What you would do:

1. Data Engineering with Software Development Experience

· Design, build, and maintain data pipelines, ingestion workflows, and transformation processes that support scalable enterprise data solutions

· Develop and support data services, APIs, and backend components to enable reliable data access and integration across enterprise systems

· Work with structured and unstructured data and ensure smooth integration between data platforms, backend services, and user-facing applications where needed

· Write clean, efficient, and well-documented data processing and application code following engineering best practices

· Participate in code reviews, debugging, performance tuning, and refactoring across data engineering and supporting software components

2. AI Agent & GenAI Development

· Design and implement AI-powered features and intelligent workflows within applications

· Contribute to the development and integration of AI agents, chatbots, copilots, and automation flows

· Apply prompt engineering techniques and support LLM-based solutions

· Work with AI libraries and frameworks such as OpenAI APIs, Anthropic SDK, LangChain, or similar tools

· Collaborate on use cases involving retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), search, and structured/unstructured data integration

3. Data & System Integration

· Integrate applications with internal and external APIs, enterprise platforms, and data engineering ecosystems to support scalable enterprise solutions

· Implement data ingestion, transformation, retrieval, and search workflows that enable reliable reporting, analytics, and AI-driven use cases

· Ensure reliable integration between back-end services, and AI services

4. Cloud, DevOps & Deployment

· Deploy and support applications in cloud environments such as AWS or Azure

· Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automation, and release processes

· Assist with monitoring, troubleshooting, and operational support in lower and production environments

5. Collaboration & Delivery

· Work closely with architects, Tech Leads, product owners, and cross-functional teams

· Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and demos

· Translate business requirements into scalable data and AI solutions for enterprise use cases

6. DevSecOps Engineering & Secure Platform Development

• Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable CI/CD pipelines integrating automated security checks, testing, and deployment processes
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management to provision and manage secure environments across cloud platforms
• Embed security-by-design principles across application, data, and platform layers
• Develop and maintain automation scripts and tooling to improve build, release, and operational efficiency
• Perform code reviews, vulnerability assessments, and remediation across application and infrastructure components

What you should have :

· 3+ years of experience in software development or data engineering, with strong exposure to building enterprise-grade data and application solutions

· Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript

· Strong understanding of back-end development, including API design and integration

· Experience building scalable, maintainable, and well-documented code

· Hands-on experience with testing, debugging, and code reviews

· Hands-on experience implementing AI or LLM-based solutions in enterprise settings, including prompt engineering and practical business use cases

· Familiarity with AI tools and frameworks such as OpenAI APIs, LangChain, or similar

· Understanding of AI-powered use cases such as chatbots, copilots, automation flows, or retrieval/search workflows

· Working knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS.

· Experience with Git, version control, and CI/CD concepts

· Experience in SQL, data modeling, data pipelines, and data processing concepts across enterprise environments

· Experience integrating with APIs, enterprise platforms, data sources , and AI services to deliver scalable business solutions

· Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in Agile teams
