Data Scientist

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated Data Scientist to join our Group Data Intelligence team. You will work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and analytics teams to develop machine learning solutions, predictive models, optimization algorithms, and AI-powered applications that create business value across multiple markets.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving business problems with data, continuously learning new technologies, and working in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and deploy machine learning models to solve business problems.
• Perform exploratory data analysis and feature engineering using large datasets.
• Build predictive models using statistical and machine learning techniques.
• Develop optimization models to support business decision making.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into analytical solutions.
• Present findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Monitor model performance and retrain models when required.
• Participate in AI and Generative AI initiatives, including LLM-based applications and intelligent agents.
• Document methodologies, assumptions, and model performance.
• Work with data engineers to productionize models and automate pipelines.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of data science best practices and governance.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.
• 0–3 years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, Analytics, or a related field.
• Fresh graduates with strong internship or project experience are encouraged to apply.

Technical Skills

Experience in some of the following is preferred:

• Python
• SQL
• Machine Learning (Scikit-learn, XGBoost, LightGBM)
• Data manipulation (Pandas, NumPy)
• Statistics and hypothesis testing
• Model evaluation and validation
• Data visualization (Power BI or similar)
• Git version control

Exposure to any of the following would be an advantage:

• Databricks
• PySpark
• MLflow
• Azure Cloud
• Docker
• Generative AI / Large Language Models
• Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
• Prompt Engineering
• Optimization techniques (Linear Programming, Mixed Integer Programming)
