About the Role
The incumbent will be a member of the Analytics and Automation team within the Investment Asset Infrastructure Centre of Excellence that is responsible to:
(1) Automate analytics and applications for productivity gains and to identify themes, trends and establish feedback loops to drive continuous improvement.
(2) Deliver standardized, periodic reporting to BU CIOs, AMC CEOs/Heads of Asset Classes and Group stakeholders and;
The role will also identify, design, and implement practical Artificial Intelligence (AI) use cases across the department. In addition, the role is responsible for the preparation and delivery of periodic reports for various committees, provide first-level technical support, undertake production deployments and ensure database integrity. It is Operational in nature.
Proactively address operational challenges and propose new processes that may improve upon existing processes, by building PowerBI dashboards, automating processes and/or exploring AI solutions
Oversee the deployment of codes into production environments and safeguard the integrity of production databases, ensuring adherence to established protocols. This includes monitoring data accuracy, validating changes, and enforcing best practices for secure deployments.
Provide first-level technical support to end-users, serving as the primary point of contact for application-related issues.
Participate in code reviews, debugging, performance tuning and other technical discussions, contributing to ongoing and upcoming projects and enhancements.
Chair weekly discussions between users and the technical team.
Reporting duties - producing monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc reports as required.
Manage the day-to-day activities of operations, ensuring the smooth functioning of all system applications critical to departmental operations.
Other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned to meet operational and project needs.
Potential future involvement
Work with business stakeholders to prioritize high‑value AI initiatives.
Act as a trusted advisor on when and how AI should be used and support adoption by simplifying AI concepts for non‑technical users.
Translate business requirements into clear functional AI requirements.
Track outcomes and benefits of implemented AI solutions.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in computer science, data analytics, data science or related courses.
3+ years experience in data analytics or automation.
Proficiency in Python (programming), SQL and PowerBI is required
Experience with MongoDB, Azure Power Platform (BI/App/Automate), Confluence, Azure Kubernetes, CI/CD release workflow will be an added advantage
Experience in compliance breaches in the finance industry will be viewed favorably.
Hands‑on familiarity with AI services and Microsoft Copilot and understand how these tools can be applied to improve investment processes, operational efficiency, risk management, and decision support.
Experienced in dealing with various stakeholders.
Ability to learn quickly and work independently or as part of a team
