In this role, you'll:

Support the development and delivery of Transport for NSW's cyber security strategy and roadmap.

- Provide expert advice on cyber risk, governance, compliance, and mitigation strategies.

- Develop, coordinate, and monitor strategic cyber initiatives, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities.

- Partner with cyber, technology, and business stakeholders to strengthen security capability and resilience.

- Identify emerging threats, trends, and risks, recommending proactive actions to improve security outcomes.

- Contribute to governance, reporting, capability development, and continuous improvement initiatives across the cyber security function.

- Play a key role in protecting critical transport infrastructure through effective strategic planning, risk oversight, and cyber security governance.

About you

You are an experienced cyber security strategist or GRC professional with strong knowledge of cyber risk, governance, compliance, and security frameworks. You have the ability to influence stakeholders, translate complex cyber risks into practical business outcomes, and contribute to strategic decision-making. Experience within regulated or critical infrastructure environments is highly regarded, along with knowledge across IT, OT, and IoT security domains. Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent are desirable.

This is an Hybrid role in Macquarie Park.
