Job Description
Our leading healthcare facility is looking for an experienced Specialist Critical Care Physician to provide comprehensive care to critically ill patients in the ICU. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in critical care management, advanced life support, and multidisciplinary intensive care. Specialist Critical Care Medicine is an established UAE licensing title.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, stabilize, and manage critically ill patients in the ICU.
- Manage patients with acute respiratory failure, sepsis, shock, multi-organ failure, cardiac emergencies, and neurological emergencies.
- Provide advanced airway management, mechanical ventilation, and hemodynamic support.
- Manage patients requiring invasive and non-invasive ventilation.
- Monitor and manage critically ill patients using appropriate clinical and hemodynamic parameters.
- Interpret ABGs, ECGs, laboratory investigations, X-rays, CT scans, and other diagnostic studies.
- Manage fluid, electrolyte, acid-base, and nutritional requirements of critically ill patients.
- Perform critical care procedures within the scope of training and privileges.
- Coordinate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, cardiologists, neurologists, pulmonologists, and other specialists.
- Participate in rapid response and emergency resuscitation when required.
- Communicate effectively with patients' families regarding diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate ICU documentation and ensure compliance with UAE healthcare standards.
- Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, teaching, and continuing medical education.
Requirements
Qualifications & Requirements
- MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
- Recognized postgraduate qualification in Critical Care Medicine / Intensive Care Medicine, such as MD, DNB, MRCP, Arab Board, or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant post-specialization clinical experience preferred.
- Strong ICU experience with exposure to critically ill medical and surgical patients.
- Experience in mechanical ventilation, hemodynamic monitoring, and advanced resuscitation.
- Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
