The Specialist for CORSIA sits at the intersection of technical expertise, market intelligence, and commercial support. The Specialist is a key subject matter expert on CORSIA and Article 6, contributing to South Pole's compliance markets offering across business development, product development, and client advisory. This role drives value by supporting the translation of deep regulatory and market knowledge into high-quality proposals, client deliverables, and internal knowledge tools, directly supporting revenue generation and South Pole's position as a specialist voice in compliance carbon markets specialised in CORSIA.
Key Responsibilities
CORSIA Technical Expertise & Market Intelligence
Support the maintenance of strong, up-to-date technical knowledge of CORSIA framework (e.g. SARPs, ETM.etc) ICAO eligibility criteria and review process
Support the tracking of regulatory developments at national level, assessing associated market risks and opportunities and communicating findings to relevant internal teams
Support the Portfolio Specialist Analyst with market analytics and intelligence gathering and dashboard development related to CORSIA
Contribute to knowledge-sharing activities across the business line, helping colleagues understand CORSIA and Article 6 developments and their implications
Business Development & Proposals
Support business development activities by contributing to proposals for CORSIA EEU procurement or direct airline advisory
Provide technical input on RFPs, deal structuring, and client proposals, ensuring alignment between customer needs, regulatory requirements, and South Pole's portfolio
Help identify new business opportunities and market segments in close coordination with the Sales, Portfolio, and Structuring teams
Contribute to go-to-market activities for South Pole's CORSIA and compliance markets offering, supporting the Associate Director in executing the "Build to Win" strategy
Communications and marketing
Support the development and maintenance of CORSIA-related dashboards or technical intelligence solutions
Support the development of South Pole's thought leadership materials, marketing content, and product positioning on CORSIA and product offering, in coordination with MarComms
Essential profile requirements
University degree, ideally at a Master’s level or higher, in environmental science, policy or a similar relevant field;
2-4 years of relevant work experience, such as policy research, market research or commercial strategy support
Good understanding of compliance carbon markets, Article 6 and CORSIA
Proven analytical and data management skills
Proactive, detail-oriented, and collaborative mindset with interest in capacity building and knowledge sharing;
Ability to communicate effectively in English in writing and orally, to carbon and non - carbon expert audiences alike, in a clear and concise manner.
Excellent prioritization and time management skills
Comfortable operating in a fast-paced international environment.
Desirable profile requirements
Mastery of other language(s) than English, in particular French or Spanish
