Job Description

Freyssinet Australia is strengthening its Queensland team and is looking for a Senior Engineer to take full ownership of a flagship remedial program.

This role suits someone who thrives on accountability and influence — leading complex works, building trusted client relationships, and setting the benchmark for delivery excellence.

You will be responsible for a long-term, secured marine remediation program, overseeing corrosion and durability works within a challenging environment. The client expects strong, visible leadership, and you will act as the key point of contact representing Freyssinet throughout the life of the project.

Senior Engineer – Remedial Engineering Services (QLD)

Brisbane | Build the Growth of the Queensland Region

Freyssinet Australia is entering an exciting phase of growth in Queensland, and we are seeking an experienced Senior Engineer ready to take ownership, drive performance, and help shape the future of our Remedial Engineering Services across the state.

This is not a routine engineering role. It is a genuine leadership opportunity for someone who wants to step up, influence key clients, and become a driving force behind a long-term, secured program of work.

The Opportunity

You will lead delivery on a multi-year corrosion, durability and engineering maintenance project (3+1+1) within a complex marine environment. This is a high-visibility program, with the client specifically requesting senior, consistent leadership. You will be the key representative for Freyssinet on this project.

Working closely with local and national teams, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening Freyssinet’s Queensland presence and continuing to build our reputation for technical excellence.

What You Will Lead

  • Engineering delivery across Queensland remedial operations
  • Technical leadership in corrosion, durability and marine works
  • Day-to-day leadership of site teams and supervisors
  • Management of a major long-term client relationship
  • Oversight of safety, quality and commercial performance
  • Regional growth initiatives and future project development

This role provides a platform to make a real and visible impact, supported by strong internal systems and national expertise.

What You Bring

  • Engineering degree
  • 5–10 years’ experience in remedial, corrosion or durability engineering (highly regarded)
  • Proven capability in marine or harsh environment projects (highly regarded)
  • NACE Level 2 or 3 (highly regarded)
  • Confidence leading teams, resolving complex site challenges and engaging directly with clients
  • We are open to a motivated and engaged Project Engineer with a genuine interest in learning cathodic protection (CP) and undertaking condition assessments. The project involves a significant amount of engineering coordination and project administration, making it well suited to a practical, delivery-focused engineer.

If you are known for taking ownership, leading from the front and delivering results, this role offers the opportunity to step into a senior position with genuine influence.
