Your Role in Supporting Our Members:
As a Specialist, Corporate Security, you will support Vancity’s investigative and financial crime obligations by assessing and actioning sensitive legal and investigative requests involving highly confidential information. You will apply legal, regulatory, and evidentiary standards to ensure disclosures are appropriate, compliant, and aligned with organizational risk tolerance, while working closely with law enforcement, regulators, and internal stakeholders on complex and high-risk matters. We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical professional with strong compliance knowledge, sound judgment, and the ability to manage sensitive information with integrity

This is a Full-time, Temporary role based at our Vancity head office and will report directly to the Sr. Manager, Corporate Security While this position provides a hybrid work arrangement, you will be expected to be on-site for events and business demands

How You'll Make an Impact:

• Acting as a primary liaison with law enforcement, government agencies, and regulators on sensitive financial crime and security matters

• Assessing and validating legal and investigative requests including subpoenas, warrants, and production orders

• Applying legal, regulatory, and evidentiary requirements to determine scope, legitimacy, and risk of disclosures

• Handling sensitive data while maintaining strict adherence to confidentiality, chain-of-custody, and evidentiary standards

• Managing end-to-end fulfillment of approved investigative disclosures ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance

• Preparing investigative packages and supporting internal investigations alongside Corporate Security, Legal, Fraud, and AML teams

• Reviewing CCTV footage and managing security-related requests and communications channels

• Identifying risks, control gaps, and supporting audit, regulatory, and policy readiness activities

What You’ll Bring to the Team:

• Bachelor’s degree in Criminology, Law, Finance, or a related field

• 5+ years of experience in corporate security, financial crime, investigations, or regulatory compliance

• Strong knowledge of legal orders, investigative processes, and evidentiary standards

• Experience handling sensitive and confidential information with a high degree of accuracy and discretion

• Familiarity with financial crime risks, fraud, AML, or regulatory compliance frameworks

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess complex situations

• Excellent communication skills with experience working with law enforcement or regulators

• Proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a high-risk environment

Extra Skills That Set You Apart:

• Professional designation or certification in fraud, investigations, or compliance (e.g., CAMS, CFE)

• Experience with investigative systems, case management tools, or data analysis

• Knowledge of privacy legislation and information-handling requirements

What You’ll Earn:
This role offers a salary range of $69,700 to $90,200 per annum The base pay offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant qualifications, skills, previous experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards package, employees may also be eligible for our annual incentive program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
