Job Description

We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Specialist, Cash Processing/Funds Transfer team. This role is in Singapore.

The candidate would play a crucial role within the Transaction Processing function, focusing on the accurate and efficient management of cash processing and funds transfer operations. This position supports BNY's strategic pillars by ensuring reliability and efficiency in financial transactions, thereby enhancing client trust and satisfaction. The role embodies BNY's principles by fostering a culture of precision, accountability, and collaboration, contributing to the seamless flow of resources across the organization.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

  • Execute daily cash transactions and payment instructions, including SWIFT and CHATS payments.
  • Ensure all transactions are handled in accordance with internal procedures, control standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain complete and accurate transaction records to support reconciliation, audit, and compliance requirements.
  • Participate in process improvement and automation initiatives to enhance workflow efficiency and accuracy.
  • Assist in investigating and resolving issues by coordinating with internal stakeholders and relevant support teams.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth daily operations and effective issue resolution.
  • Demonstrate accountability, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline preferred
  • 0-2 years of experience in banking operations.
  • Basic understanding of cash processing, funds transfer operations, and payment workflows.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to process transactions accurately and identify discrepancies.
  • Self-motivated, responsible, and able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills for working with different stakeholders and responding to operational enquiries.
  • Understanding of the importance of risk awareness, compliance, and operational controls in payment processing.
  • Proactive mindset with willingness to support process improvement and automation opportunities.
  • Knowledge of SWIFT, CHATS, or cheque handling is an advantage.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English.
