Job Description

Role Purpose

LSEG is seeking a motivated and client-focused Associate Specialist to join our Analytics Client Services (ACS) team. In this role, you will provide high-quality support to institutional clients using LSEG Analytics solutions, with a particular focus on Yield Book.

This is an opportunity to develop deep expertise in fixed income analytics while working directly with clients and collaborating with colleagues across LSEG. The successful candidate will bring strong analytical and problem-solving skills, an interest in financial markets, and a solid understanding of fixed income products.

Role Responsibilities

As part of the ACS team, you will gain broad exposure to fixed income products, analytics, and institutional client workflows. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for institutional clients, taking ownership of analytics-related inquiries through to resolution.
  • Provide high-quality, timely support while developing a strong understanding of clients' analytical needs and workflows.
  • Build in-depth knowledge of a broad range of fixed income instruments, including interest rate swaps (IRS), collateralized mortgage obligations (CMOs), mortgage-backed securities (MBS), and other fixed income products.
  • Develop deep expertise in LSEG Analytics solutions, with a particular focus on Yield Book.
  • Investigate analytical and product-related questions using strong problem-solving and quantitative skills.
  • Collaborate with product and development teams, including supporting the testing and validation of new products, features, and enhancements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external clients, consistently delivering a high standard of client service.

Language Requirements

Please note that the majority of clients you will support are Japanese institutional clients. Therefore, a high level of Japanese proficiency is essential for success in this role and is a mandatory requirement

  • Fluent business-level Japanese is required (JLPT N1 proficiency or equivalent is preferred)
  • Excellent Japanese written communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in client-facing emails and other business correspondence.
  • Ability to engage confidently with Japanese institutional investment clients, understand their needs, and build strong professional relationships.
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders across global teams.

Other Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of fixed income markets and/or mortgage-backed securities.
  • Experience in fixed income, MBS analytics, investment management, or a related area is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate complex issues and communicate solutions clearly.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and maintain professionalism in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
