About the role:
CHANEL is looking for a Specialist, to join our Account Planning team in our Fragrance & Beauty (F&B) division in New York. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Account Planning, you will play a role in supporting sell-in and sell-out strategy, account relationships, and stock optimization strategy for our wholesale accounts to meet sales & inventory plans and service level objectives. This role interfaces with multiple functions in our division and is a key partner for our Account Development, Merchandise Planning and Field teams. Our ideal candidate will have three years of experience and a passion for inventory strategy and optimization.
• Collaborate with internal partners and retailer merchant teams on business reviews, open-to-buy management, and plan revisions to influence buying strategies in support of Chanel strategic objectives and brand philosophies.
• Support Senior Manager in leading and supporting internal deep dives related to business performance improvement initiatives, including the evaluation of current process and effectiveness of associated control(s) and deliver recommendations to improve processes, systems, and related training.
• Assist management in reviewing and re-projecting merchandise, inventory, and financial plans per the corporate cadence
• Manage, communicate, and execute launch items set up and track for compliance with retail partners.
• By door allocation breakouts for launches inclusive of retail and non-retail items.
• Order uploads and PO tracking to ensure appropriate fill rates for launches.
• Responsible for recognizing retail trends or patterns and action reorders to support.
• Communication with market teams. Partnership examples include: understanding upcoming product placement/merchandising initiatives to adapt sales plans, EOM business analysis, launch order communication etc.
• Partner with Senior Manager, Account Planner and internal partners to understand retail potential of planned promotional activity and local initiatives to ensure inventory is planned accordingly
• Drive for financial discipline and inventory efficiency while working with the senior manager account planning and manager inventory planning to support the execution of the merchandise strategy.
• Partner with Chanel Supply Chain Planning teams on OMNI inventory needs.
• Partner with Campaign planners to influence allocation based on market dynamic and account needs.

• A high comfort level and experience with a high sales volume, large sets of data, a high SKU count with heavy seasonality

• Strategic thinker/tactical executor with the ability to embrace change and foster new opportunities to grow and protect the business
• Must be self-motivated and a self-starter, with a strong attention to detail and systems acumen.
• Fundamental knowledge of the Supply Chain including supply planning, forecasting models, inventory management, manufacturing, and distribution
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint and have aptitude to learn technical applications quickly
• Possess strong organizational and time management skills
• Learning agility and ability to creatively problem-solve in a fast-paced environment; ability to balance multiple tasks

Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $61 ,400 through $99,300. Base salary is one component of the total compensation for this position. Other components [may/will] include additional compensation, benefits and perks.
