The role & your impact

As a Specialist in Accounts Receivable, you will work at an advanced level across Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes, providing expertise, mentoring colleagues, driving improvements, and supporting high-quality service delivery. • Execute customer dunning activities and proactively monitor customer risk through regular reviews and credit assessments, partnering with Customer Service, Sales, AP/GL teams, and business affiliates to resolve issues.
  • Drive process improvement, automation and standardisation initiatives while supporting internal and external audits and ensuring issues and improvement opportunities are documented and tracked.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, share best practices and process expertise, and lead or support Accounts Receivable projects, implementations, and continuous improvement programmes.

What you'll need to be successful in this role

  • A postgraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • 12+ years of professional experience in Accounts Receivable and Order-to-Cash operations, including a minimum of 3 years working as a Specialist within a similar O2C area.
  • Experience working in SAP environments, including FI and SD modules, together with strong accounting knowledge and understanding of Accounts Receivable processes.
  • Proven involvement in Accounts Receivable projects and system implementations, with experience managing complex processes, stakeholder relationships, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Advanced proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Office applications, and Excel, combined with strong reporting and analytical capabilities.
  • Strong customer and stakeholder management, problem solving, decision making, communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work independently, manage priorities effectively, and maintain strong risk awareness and attention to detail.

Additional skills & interests we value

  • Knowledge of S/4HANA.
  • Experience supporting global or regional shared services organisations.
  • Exposure to automation, digital transformation, AI-enabled finance processes, or an interest in AI tools and process optimisation.
  • Experience driving cross-functional projects with limited supervision and strong coaching or mentoring capabilities.
  • Knowledge of advanced reporting and data analysis techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and drive organisational change.
