Job Description

Electrically test high voltage capacitors according to engineering specifications and quality standards

Job Responsibilities:

  • Electrically test capacitors using LCR, IR, and LC meters
  • Capacitor voltage testing, AC and DC
  • Set up and perform pulse testing of capacitors
  • Ability to set up complex testing involving inverters and resonant frequency circuits
  • Performs mechanical tests of capacitors for dimension accuracy
  • Ability to read and follow advanced test procedures including military standards
  • Ability to adhere to the highest standard of quality while continually performing at the highest level possible

Language Skills:

  • Ability to read and comprehend oral and written instructions and other manufacturing documents
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with managers and co-workers

Computer Skills:

  • Ability to use Microsoft Excel, Word and additional test specific software
  • Ability to read and understand test specifications

Physical Demands:

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, and sit - Full body movement
  • Constant alertness
  • Routinely lift or move up to 50 lbs.

Education Requirements

Mathematical: Ability to convert between SAE, Metric measurements, and engineering prefixes (i.e. milli, micro(µ), etc.)

High School diploma or GED

Work Environment:

  • Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and the potential of electrical shocks
  • Occasionally exposed to exterior temperature conditions - heat in the summer, cold in the winter
  • Regularly exposed to loud noise

18-19/hour
