Job Description

The Leidos Defense Sector is seeking an accomplished and driven Special Security Officer (SSO) to spearhead Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security operations at Andersen Air Force Base, Guam In this pivotal role, you will serve as the senior authority for SCI security, safeguarding critical intelligence capabilities that underpin the U.S. Air Force’s strategic mission across the Pacific region. This position demands a seasoned security professional capable of leading complex, multi-domain security programs—spanning personnel, physical, information, and cybersecurity—while ensuring unwavering compliance with national and Department of Defense (DoD) directives. You will play a central role in protecting sensitive information, maintaining SCIF integrity, and enabling mission success across multiple high-visibility environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and execute comprehensive SCI security programs across personnel, physical, information, and cybersecurity domains

  • Interpret, implement, and enforce DNI, DIA, DoD, and USAF directives, including ICD 704, ICD 705, and DoDM 5105.21

  • Manage SCI policies, manuals, and regulatory frameworks to fulfill all SSO responsibilities

  • Conduct SCI indoctrinations, debriefings, and NDA processing

  • Verify SCI visitor eligibility and maintain accurate records in DISS and Scattered Castles

  • Lead investigations into SCI security infractions and cybersecurity incidents, producing clear, actionable reports

  • Develop, maintain, and update SCIF accreditation documentation

  • Conduct annual self-inspections and support Program Compliance Reviews (PCRs)

  • Deliver required SCI security awareness training and ongoing updates

  • Support RMF control implementation and collaborate with the ISSM on system authorization activities

  • Ensure alignment with DoD cybersecurity policies, including DoDI 8500.01 and NIST SP 800-53

Basic Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI clearance upon start

  • 4 years of experience in the security field

  • Experience SCI security operations across all security disciplines

  • Solid analytical, organizational, and communication abilities

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and DoD security systems (DISS, Scattered Castles, JPAS)

  • Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and DoD cyber compliance requirements

  • Ability to operate independently in dynamic, high-stakes environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • SPeD Security Fundamentals Certification

  • Associates degree in security, intelligence, or cybersecurity

  • ICD 705 Site Security Manager (SSM) Certification

  • Security Asset Protection Professional Certification

  • Security+ or other DoD 8570-compliant cybersecurity certification

Pay Range:

Pay Range $65,650.00 - $118,675.00
