As the Special Projects Director dedicated to Sales Execution, you will develop and lead cross-functional initiatives that improve sales effectiveness, maximize operational capacity, and create new revenue opportunities across our global organization. This Projects Director will work directly with senior leadership to identify business opportunities, remove operational barriers, leverage data and emerging technologies, and implement practical solutions that deliver measurable financial results. This is a highly visible, individual contributor role with no direct reports, ideal for an entrepreneurial problem-solver who thrives in ambiguity, influences stakeholders, and translates complex business challenges into actionable solutions.

What You'll Do:

  • Drive Sales Execution by leading cross-functional projects that improve sales win rates, increase revenue opportunities, and optimize sales productivity across the organization.
  • Lead business improvements by collaborating with Sales, Operations, Finance, IT, and other stakeholders to identify business challenges, develop solutions, and drive implementation.
  • Optimize operational capacity by partnering with Sales, Operations, and Technical Services to align available labor, hangar capacity, maintenance slots, and other operational resources with qualified customer opportunities.
  • Maximize asset utilization by identifying opportunities to leverage available rental engines and other assets to support customer maintenance needs and generate incremental revenue.
  • Leverage business intelligence by utilizing Salesforce, Power BI, Snowflake and other analytical tools to evaluate sales performance, customer trends, lost-business opportunities, and operational efficiency.
  • Implement AI-enabled solutions by leading business implementation and adoption of emerging technologies, including Gemini Enterprise, to streamline quotation preparation, reduce administrative work, and improve sales effectiveness.
  • Evaluate financial opportunities by developing business cases, analyzing return on investment, and presenting compelling recommendations to executive leadership.
  • Remove barriers to execution by identifying operational and organizational challenges, improving existing processes, escalating issues appropriately, and driving cross-functional accountability.
  • Drive measurable results by establishing project objectives, tracking performance, and evaluating the financial and operational impact of implemented improvements.

Position Requirements:

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with demonstrated success leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing stakeholders without direct reporting authority.
  • Experience implementing process improvements, automation, enterprise technology solutions, or other technology-driven business initiatives.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive professional experience in sales operations, business transformation, consulting, strategic initiatives, or related functions.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce and business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Strong financial acumen, analytical capabilities, executive presence, and ability to evaluate business opportunities and return on investment.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%, as business needs require.
  • Must be available to work onsite at one of our operations locations (Scottsdale, AZ; Van Nuys, CA; Houston, TX; Dallas, TX; Springfield, IL; Augusta, GA).
  • Minimum education required: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • This position requires access to export-controlled information. As a condition of employment, the successful candidate must qualify as a U.S. Person under applicable U.S. export control laws. A U.S. Person includes a U.S. citizen, U.S. lawful permanent resident (Green Card holder), refugee, or asylee.

Preferred Characteristics:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Engineering, or Information Technology.
  • Excellent communication, executive presentation, and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex business needs into compelling recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity, resolve conflicts, challenge stakeholders constructively, and drive solutions.
  • Experience in Aviation or Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) environments.
  • Proficiency with Snowflake or comparable cloud-based data platforms.
  • Experience with artificial intelligence tools and applications, including Claude, ChatGPT, and AI agents. Gemini Enterprise implementation experience is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success improving sales effectiveness, operational utilization, or revenue generation through measurable business improvements.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Ability to balance detailed operational analysis with broader strategic business objectives.
