About the Role
This role will safely and effectively provide support for the Long Products department’s processes as necessary to achieve corporate goals by adhering to the established corporate policies, procedures, and guidelines with intent to deliver consistent positive results to external and internal customers. Assist with budgeting, scheduling, contracts, and purchase requisitions for special projects.

Education Associates/Bachelors Degree in Supervision, Management or Related Field (R)
Experience 4 years of Manufacturing Experience (R), 2 years of Maintenance Planning (P), 2 year Project Coordinator (P)

Role Responsibilities
- Ensure that safety and office supplies inventories are adequate for scheduled production levels.
- Organize and maintain safety, training, production and other miscellaneous records generated within the Long Products department in accordance with established retention requirements.
- Manage and organize inventory levels for spare items used throughout the Long Products (i.e., forge tools, clamping jaws, cylinders, peel/polish consumables, other misc. items). Standardize inventory where possible (internal to Long Products department and external with other departments equipment). Coordinate shipment of and receipt of items and equipment shipped to or procured from outside sources (internal contact) which includes inventory items maintained within Long Products department.
- Generate purchase requisitions for inventory replacement, outside activities and initiate contracting out notices for the union representative. Communicate negative trends specific to usage of inventory and evaluate/initiate corrective actions, as necessary.
- Review blueprints for accuracy when ordering or reordering inventory items or parts. Contact plant engineering and/or maintenance personnel to address any issues. Verify, through visual inspection and review of certifications, of incoming parts or items as received from internal and external sources for correct dimensions and fitness for use, prior to locating in inventory.
- Revise and Develop policies, procedures, SOP, QCI, work instructions for operations and equipment used in the Long Products
- Train and lend support to other departments in efforts to develop similar inventory control processes and/or spare part tracking programs, as necessary.
- Supervise bargaining unit employees as needed to meet production goals and comply with all plant Rules of Conduct, requirements of the CBA, Corrective Rehabilitation Process, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Overtime, Pay, Employee Absenteeism and handle/address disciplinary situations, as necessary.
- Assist Maintenance Supervision in coordination and tracking of the forge tools, clamping jaws, cylinders, peel/polish consumables, and any other critical Spare Part Inventory process. Coordinate procurement of spare part inventory through internal and external sources and communicate finding and issues to management in a timely manner.
- Assist Long Products Supervision with implementing and conducting required training, reporting and tracking of incidents (i.e., recordables, first aids, near misses, spills), and coordinating proper disposal of recycled materials (environmental) within the Long Products department.
- Function as the 5S Project coordinator for the Long Products 5S activity. Lead and guide SS Team, consisting of bargaining unit employees, in their SS efforts and communicate activity and project plans to management on a weekly basis.
- Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly reports for Long Products activity (i.e., downtime, throughput)
- Assist in the completion of capital expenditure requests/process and maintain budgets for capital expansion projects.
