Your Role, Your Impact

• Develop and optimize welding procedures to ensure scalability.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to integrate welding solutions into complex vehicle structures.
• Ensure reliability through process audits, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives using Six Sigma methodologies.
• Drive innovation by introducing new welding technologies such as laser hybrid welding and automated robotic systems.
• Promote knowledge sharing by training teams on welding best practices, safety standards, and process documentation.

You'll work with sharp, committed teams solving complex challenges that shape the future of mobility, ensuring seamless integration of business and technology.

What You Bring

• Specialized expertise in welding as a Special Process Expert.
• Minimum 3 years of welding-related experience.
• Preferred certifications:
• Certified Welding Engineer (CWE)
• Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)
• Engineering degree preferred; experience may be considered in some cases as an alternative factor.
• Experience in industrial methods, industrial engineering, or relevant special process environments.
• Technical expertise rather than primarily hands-on production work.
• Ability to work with a high level of autonomy, rigor, and professional judgment.
• Capability to train and mentor operators and other employees.
• Experience delivering classroom-style training and knowledge transfer.
• Continuous improvement and innovation mindset.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Willingness to complete specialized training and obtain required qualification levels.

Salary Range

In accordance with New York State law, the anticipated salary range for this position is $70,000 – $90,000. The actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, education, and qualifications. This range reflects the base salary only and does not include bonuses, incentive pay, or other forms of compensation.
