Job Description

Cabell Huntington Hospital seeks a casual, as needed Special Procedures X-ray Tech to work in Interventional Radiology


Under the direction of the IR Supervisor, the IR Technologist:

  • Is responsible for the day-to-day operation of all IR activities at Cabell Huntington Hospital.
  • Ensures the quality of services rendered is acceptable.
  • Confirms orders, documents, medical necessity, and pre-authorization on all IR orders.
  • Assists with/performing variety of radiology diagnostic examinations to include fluoroscopy, interventional procedures under image guidance, facilitating inpatient and outpatient consultation and post procedural follow-up.
  • Provides radiologic care to patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment of anatomic and physiologic disorders.
  • Operates IR and CT equipment to perform clinical diagnostic procedures as directed.

Qualifications
Junior College or Associates Degree required

ARRT certification required

WVSRT certification required

CPR certification required

IR or CT certification preferred

One year of experience preferred
