
Job Duties:
The Special Procedures Radiology Tech operates all radiographic equipment at a technical level, under the direction of a cardiologist. The Special Procedures Technologist performs scrub assisting and monitoring roles during invasive procedures in the Cath Lab / EP Lab. The Special Procedures Technologist assists in providing optimum care for patients undergoing procedures. The Special Procedures Radiology Technologist records information and evaluates patient's response to procedures. The Special Procedures Rad Tech Performs all procedures with technical accuracy and thorough understanding of all procedures performed, demonstrates in-depth knowledge of sterile technique, the anatomy and physiology of the cardiovascular system, transferring procedures to digital archive or PACS for permanent record and trouble shotting equipment, and radiation and equipment safety.
Qualifications:
Graduate of an AMA approved Radiological Technology Program
Current A.R.R.T. Certificate in General Radiology
Current Indiana Radiation License
BLS for Healthcare Provider required
Minimum of two years’ experience in clinical hospital setting preferred
One year vascular or cardiovascular lab experience preferred
Current knowledge of working under aseptic techniques preferred
