THE PURPOSE

Working together as part of the special operations team, reporting to Special Operation leader, the Special Operations Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing and tracking progress of main component exchanges and complex projects within Special operation teams.​ You would work closely with the Sourcing team, Regional Operations and Customer to maintain the Nordex Service quality and efficiency and ensure customer satisfaction.

YOUR TASKS

  • Responsible for organizing project teams, assigning individual responsibilities, developing project schedules, and determining resource requirements​
  • Responsible for ensuring the execution of complex projects in accordance with internal and customer needs.​
  • Monitor and report on the status of projects using Nordex Systems including cost, timing, and staffing as well as gathering input for claims if necessary​
  • Identifying/resolving obstacles to completing project on time and to budget​
  • Ensure the availability of material, tooling, manpower and documentation to carry out the work as planned.​
  • Serve as first point of contact for involved parties ​
  • Contribute to long term and budget planning by gathering demands and providing forecasts
  • Onboard and mentor other project managers

YOUR PROFILE

  • 2+ years of working as a project manager in the wind industry
  • 5+ years of practical on-site experience
  • Completed commercial or technical training or comparable qualification with relevant professional experience
  • Able to work at heights
  • On site handling of lifting operations and mobile crane, project planning and execution training
  • Strong health and safety focus
  • Project planning, organization and execution skills
  • Advanced IT competency (MS Office, company databases and SAP desirable)
  • Nordex Competencies (Teamwork, Communications, etc)
  • Preparation of HSE documentation for exchanges
  • Strong Customer focus and must have a “can do” attitude
  • Willing to travel on a regular basis, including weeks away from home.
  • Fluent in English and possibly local language
