Vivalon is seeking a caring and dependable Special Needs Attendant to support our adult clients with disabilities during transit. This vital role assists drivers in ensuring safe, respectful, and comfortable transportation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and assist clients during transit
  • Support drivers with safe loading and unloading of passengers
  • Properly use safety restraints, wheelchair securements, and seat belts
  • Demonstrate empathy and understanding for individuals with disabilities
  • Maintain professional and respectful interactions with clients, coworkers, and community members
  • Follow all health and safety policies and procedures
  • Communicate client concerns to drivers and management


Requirements

  • Friendly, reliable, and committed to excellent customer service
  • Genuine desire to help others and support individuals with disabilities
  • Valid California Driver’s License or California ID Card
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Ability to attend a 5-day paid training in San Rafael, CA (commute stipend provided)
  • Provide two professional references
  • Pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and comply with random testing per federal regulations
  • Ability to pass a background check (Safety Sensitive position)
