Job Description

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

May include, but is not limited to:

  • Read and interpret Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), production sheets, room diagrams, and setup maps to accurately stage events

  • Set up and tear down tables, chairs, podiums, drape and other event equipment for a wide variety of events

  • Work independently or as part of a team to complete setup assignments efficiently and accurately

  • Follow task lists and instructions to ensure all setup requirements are completed on time

  • Adapt to changing priorities, event needs, and last-minute requests

  • Set up and troubleshoot projection, wireless internet, sound, and lighting equipment as needed

  • Communicate effectively with team members and other departments

  • Remain positive, professional, and guest-focused in all interactions

  • Operate designated equipment, machinery, and tools safely and responsibly

  • Follow all safety guidelines and Greenleaf Hospitality Group policies and procedures

  • Assist in other event-related roles, including ushering, security, parking, or event production, as needed

WHAT YOU NEED FOR THIS POSITION:

  • Ability to work flexible and inconsistent schedules, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays

  • Ability to remain on your feet for long periods (up to 8 hours) and perform physical labor, including lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying equipment

  • Able to stoop and bend

  • Able to lift up to 40 pounds from time to time

  • Able to work individually and with a group

  • Ability to understand instructions and independently begin assigned tasks

  • Ability to prioritize tasks, remain productive, and complete assignments with minimal supervision

  • Able to comply with safety and health code standards

  • Able to handle responsibilities that require repetitive motion tasks

  • Dependable, adaptable, and committed to working as part of a team to accomplish event goals
