Job Description

Lake Crystal Wellcome Memorial Secondary School seeks a long-term substitute special education teacher for grades 7�9. The position focuses on English Language Arts for students with Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD), starting early December 2026.

Position Overview

Support 7th�9th grade students with SLD in English Language Arts through targeted instruction, co-teaching, and IEP management.

Responsibilities

• Teach and support 7th�9th grade students with SLD in ELA.
• Deliver small-group and co-taught instruction.
• Implement IEP accommodations and track student progress.
• Collaborate with general education English teachers and staff.
• Maintain regular communication with families.

Qualifications

• Minnesota Special Education licensure (SLD preferred) or eligibility.
• Secondary English instruction or intervention experience.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.

Dates & Schedule

Early December 2026 start date through approximately April 2027.

Full-time, long-term substitute assignment.
