Qualification:

NJ Teacher of the Handicapped Certification

OR NJ Teacher of Students with Disabilities AND NJ Elementary School Teacher Certification

Ability to work with mixed grade level groups of special education students

Ability to modify curriculum and provide accommodations to meet the needs of students with a range of skills and abilities

Knowledge and experience with NJ Core Curriculum

Strong interpersonal, written, and communication skills

Individual must be patient and kind

Arrival, lunch, recess, and dismissal duties

Extra duties as determined or assigned by the building Principal

Salary: $60,653 - $115,891 per year. Final compensation will be based on experience and qualifications

Full-time staff are eligible for Medical, Prescription, and Dental Benefits. Sick, Personal and Bereavement Days are included

All alternate route candidates ("Certificate of Eligibility) must show completion of 50 hours of pre-service training through a DOE approved CE educator program prior to being interviewed for a position. The certificate of completion must be uploaded into the AppliTrack portal in order for alternate route candidates to be considered.
