
Special Education Teacher: Resource (Grades 6-8)
Full-Time Position
Salary: $50,249–$89,969 (Excluding additional stipends)
An educational institution is seeking a Special Education Resource Teacher for grades 6-8, committed to fostering an inclusive learning environment. This role involves developing and implementing a curriculum that meets the individual needs of students, ensuring their academic growth and personal development.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Education or a related field.
Valid teaching certification appropriate for elementary or secondary education.
AZ IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
SEI Endorsement is preferred.
Core Job Functions:
Create a positive classroom atmosphere conducive to learning and personal growth.
Develop lesson plans and materials that cater to the diverse needs of students, aligning with curriculum standards.
Communicate objectives clearly and effectively, facilitating both small and large group instruction using research-based strategies.
Employ technology and innovative methods to enhance instructional delivery and student learning.
Assess and evaluate student progress, maintaining thorough and accurate records.
Engage with guardians to discuss student progress and participate in collaborative efforts to support student success.
Implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) effectively, adapting teaching strategies to meet each student’s needs.
Contribute to school-wide initiatives and professional development to maintain competence and stay current in educational practices.
