Qualifications:
NJ Teacher of Students with Disabilities AND NJ Elementary School Teacher K-5 Certification

OR

NJ Teacher of the Handicapped Certification

Prior experience preferred
In-depth knowledge of and experience with the NJ Student Learning Standards
Experience writing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
Effective communication and collaboration skills
Proven ability to promote student success, provide effective supports, and respond to identified student needs
Extra duties as assigned by the building Principal and Supervisor of Special Education
Salary: $60,653 - $115,891 per year. Final compensation will be based on experience and qualifications

All alternate route candidates ("Certificate of Eligibility) must show completion of 50 hours of pre-service training through a DOE approved CE educator program prior to being interviewed for a position. The certificate of completion must be uploaded into the AppliTrack portal in order for alternate route candidates to be considered.
