Job title: Special Education Paraprofessional Transition (temporary until 12/22/26) Not benefit eligible
Special Education Paraprofessional will provide instructional and behavioral support for students with special needs. Transferring/lifting of students may be required. Preferred candidate will have experience working with special needs students. Candidate will be required to obtain certification as a district driver (training provided).
Requirements: In order to work as a Special Education Paraprofessional, you must meet the state requirement of being Highly Qualifed prior to your start date. To be considered Highly Qualifed, you must have ONE of the following; a Bachelor's Degree or an Associates Degree, or 60+ hours of post-secondary education, or a Passing Score on the ParaPro Exam. Please be prepared to submit documentation in support of your qualifications. (Acceptable documentation includes transcripts from the college or a copy of the ParaPro Exam report.)
Hours per day: 6.5 hours per day, Monday - Friday (student contact days). This position is TEMPORARY until 12/22/26 not benefit eligible
