Brookfield High School is looking for excellent Long Term Teacher Sub for Special Education
Location: Brookfield Public Schools - Brookfield High School
Position Type: Long Term Sub.
Start Date : 11/30/2026
Approximate length of assignment : 6 weeks
Description:
- Develop and implement individualized and small-group instruction aligned with students' IEP goals, state standards, and district curriculum.
- Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment that promotes student growth, independence, and self-advocacy.
- Monitor student progress through ongoing assessment, data collection, and progress reporting, adjusting instruction and interventions as needed.
- Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies, assistive technology, and differentiated materials to meet diverse learning needs.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, families, and administrators to support student achievement and successful inclusion.
- Implement positive behavior support strategies and maintain a structured classroom environment that fosters student engagement and success.
- Participate in IEP meetings, professional development activities, and school events as required.
- Qualified Candidates must have a valid CT Certification in the area which they apply.
