This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Special Education / IEP Evaluator based in Canada.
This contract role offers experienced special education professionals the opportunity to apply their expertise to the development and evaluation of AI-generated work products. You will assess documents, spreadsheets, and presentations against specialized quality standards, ensuring that content is accurate, rigorous, and professionally presented. Your subject-matter knowledge will help identify factual, structural, aesthetic, and presentation issues that AI-generated materials may contain. You will provide clear, actionable written feedback that can help improve the quality and reliability of AI systems. The work is remote and designed for independent, asynchronous collaboration. It is particularly well suited to experienced education professionals who combine strong domain expertise with excellent written communication and attention to detail.
Accountabilities:
- Evaluate AI-generated documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and other work products against domain-specific special education and IEP quality standards.
- Assess generated content for factual accuracy, educational rigor, completeness, clarity, and appropriate presentation.
- Identify factual, aesthetic, structural, and formatting errors that could affect the quality or usability of AI-generated materials.
- Provide clear, structured, and actionable written feedback to support improvements in AI-generated work products.
- Apply professional expertise in special education and IEP processes consistently when evaluating content.
- Work independently and asynchronously while managing evaluation assignments and meeting established deadlines.
- Use Microsoft Office and Google Workspace tools, particularly Google Slides, to review and assess materials.
- Contribute high-quality domain expertise that helps improve the accuracy, usefulness, and performance of AI systems.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in special education, Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), or a closely related field.
- Native or professional fluency in English, with excellent written communication skills.
- Strong understanding of special education practices, IEP documentation, and the standards expected of high-quality educational materials.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, particularly Google Slides.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to identify subtle factual, structural, presentation, and quality issues.
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to evaluate content objectively against defined criteria.
- Ability to communicate feedback clearly, concisely, and constructively in writing.
- Comfortable working independently in a remote, asynchronous environment and managing deadlines without close supervision.
- Advanced degree, such as a Master’s degree or higher, is preferred.
