Special Ed Leave Replacement Teachers

Positions available at various elementary schools

• Replacement for teachers on a leave of absence
• Length of positions may vary

Requirements:

• New Jersey Instructional Certificate
  • Elementary Education K-6
  • New Jersey Teacher of the Handicapped or Students with Disabilities
• Successful clearance of criminal history
• All Substitutes must be BOE approved

Effective:

• 2026- 2027 School Year

Salary:

• Days 1-20 - $130.00 a day
• Day 21+ = $367.00 per day HTEA 26/27 STEP 1 BA Teacher Guide

Benefits: Leave replacement teachers receive benefits after 5 consecutive months of working (single health benefits)
In addition to the base salary, eligible employees receive a comprehensive benefits package: including medical/vision, prescription and dental insurance, and paid time off.
