Qualifications:

NJ Teacher of the Handicapped Certification

OR NJ Teacher of Students with Disabilities AND NJ Elementary School Teacher Certification

NJ Reading Specialist Certification preferred

Ability to plan and implement individualized instruction for at-promise students

Ability to relate to children of diverse backgrounds and abilities

Experience as an interventionist preferred

Ability to maintain student data and collaborate effectively with other staff members, including classroom teachers and teacher coaches

Extra duties as assigned by the building Principal

Salary: $60,653 - $115,891 per year. Final compensation will be based on experience and qualifications

Full-time staff are eligible for Medical, Prescription, and Dental Benefits. Sick, Personal and Bereavement Days are included

All alternate route candidates ("Certificate of Eligibility) must show completion of 50 hours of pre-service training through a DOE approved CE educator program prior to being interviewed for a position. The certificate of completion must be uploaded into the AppliTrack portal in order for alternate route candidates to be considered.
