The enterprise Information Technology landscape is rapidly evolving. The Enterprise Storage Solutions & DevOps Engineer position and role is an integral part of the Cloud Technology Services organisation, focusing on building and supporting services to manage storage environments for various on-premises and hybrid cloud solutions. We are the go-to product team for consultation and support in data management, positioning us at the forefront of technologies that leverage data to deliver impactful results.

B.Sc. Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.

Our IT team functions as a strategic business partner, proposing innovative ideas and solutions that drive new capabilities . We are a global team and collaborate globally to deliver services and solutions, focus on enterprise storage services in Hybrid Cloud Environment, testing new technologies, and providing solution consultancy and recommendations, that enhance productivity and accelerate our ability to drive innovations.

Technical Skills:

2-3 years of relevant IT technical experience in enterprise storage solutions, cloud providers, and disaster recovery including:

  • Traditional On-premises Storage Platforms (File and Block Storage solutions)
  • Cloud Service Offering’s (PaaS, IaaS, SaaS) in Hybrid Cloud environments
  • Disaster recovery process knowledge

What will you do:

At least 2-3 years of relevant experience in support and or engineering role, hands-on experience using AWS Cloud, Traditional storage domain, and infrastructure as Code practices, including:

  • Enterprise storage Support experience for (e.g., Dell Powermax, Powerscale, and NetApp CDOT)
  • Good knowledge of AWS cloud storage services (FSx, EFS and S3) and deployments
  • Very good understanding of AWS Services e.g. IAM, EC2, VPC, Subnets, Security Group for secure designs and usage
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Ansible, and Terraform is highly desired
  • Hands-on experience with scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell is highly desired.
  • Knowledge of building solutions using python web frameworks, interacting with databases for adding new self-services will be an advantage.
  • Good understanding of solution design and preparing Technical documentation
  • Experience working ServiceNOW and its support modules used in ITIL process
  • Experience working and supporting Hybrid cloud environments will be an advantage
  • Experience working in teams using Agile methodologies for delivering services.

At least 2-3 years of relevant experience focussed on:

  • Operational ITIL support processes and managing platform support KPIs
  • Supporting enterprise storage operational tasks, HW refresh, patching, upgrades, health-checks and capacity management.
  • Ability to work on and manage incident and change control via ServiceNOW
  • Understand new requirements and build plan and execute projects using AWS Cloud and automation.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent at connecting with customers, and gathering feedback, proficient in driving conversations and presenting details in meetings
  • Comfortable working with multi-projects tasks in a fast-paced agile environment

Primary Skills:

  • Support on-premises and cloud storage infrastructure technologies in product engineer role.
  • Connect with internal customers to take requirements and translate them into product features and deliver services aligned to our product offerings.
  • Plan and execute proof-of-concept work for new technologies and features, overseeing the entire cycle from idea to acceptance and finally implementation.
  • Support projects with focused on product engineering & support tasks, delivering to timelines, and proactively keep track of progress and aligned to Agile timelines.
  • Collaborate with IT Security, IT Compliance, and Cross Product teams to continually drive KPI improvements in support of our hybrid cloud vision.
  • Be a great volunteer and contributor for helping team projects in product team by contributing in writing IaC scripts/playbooks, testing and documentation tasks.
  • Keep close focus on operational support process improvements through new enhancements and using automation technologies we use and even can explore.
  • Strive to be a storage subject matter expert in team, offering help and advice to colleagues from other product teams and customer application support teams in various divisions.
  • Work in a fast paced global environment, adjusting time and work schedules according to demand of projects and be a great team player for team
  • Learning neck for new technologies to keep up with changes in industry and requirements of job role using available resources both internal & external
