Key Responsibilities

The Web API Developer designs, builds, and maintains the backend services that power the SmartFactory product. This role is responsible for developing robust, scalable RESTful APIs using C# and .NET 8.0, integrating with Oracle / PostgreSQL / SQL Server databases, and supporting front-end, MES, and Product Support teams. The candidate will work closely with MES Leaders, Solution Architects, QA/PS teams, and Product Support teams to deliver high-quality software features across global deployment sites.

Functional Knowledge

API Development & Design

  • Design, develop, and maintain RESTful Web APIs using C# and .NET 8.0 to support SPC application features.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following object-oriented design principles and best practices.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of coding standards and architecture.

System Integration & Database

  • Design and optimize Oracle / PostgreSQL / SQL Server database schemas, stored procedures, and queries to support application data needs.
  • Integrate APIs with front-end applications, MES systems, and third-party services.
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and performance across integrated systems.

Deployment & Production Support

  • Support deployment of API services to test, staging, and production environments, including containerized deployments where applicable.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve defects and production issues in collaboration with QA and Product Support teams.
  • Maintain technical documentation for APIs, system architecture, and deployment procedures.
