About the Role
The Spatial Information Coordinator supports the development and maintenance of the University's Space Management System and associated processes, helping ensure information about the University's buildings, spaces and facilities remains accurate, current and fit for purpose.
Working as part of a collaborative Strategic Asset Management team within Property, Facilities and Development, you will maintain the University's master architectural drawings and records, supporting space management, asset management and operational activities across a diverse property portfolio. The role contributes to updates arising from projects, audits and operational changes, ensuring critical property information remains reliable and accessible.
This opportunity will suit someone with experience in architectural drafting, facilities information management, space planning or a similar field who enjoys working with technical information and maintaining high-quality records. A background in facilities, space planning, or the university sector is desirable.
The key responsibilities of the position will include:
Reviewing drawings and schedules for accuracy, completeness and compliance with University standards and project requirements.
Maintaining and updating the University's master architectural drawings, plans and associated space information.
Reviewing and updating records, datasets and business systems affected by projects, audits and spatial changes.
Creating, publishing, storing and archiving records in the University's document management systems for use across the University.

About You
As the Spatial Information Coordinator, you will play a key role in maintaining and updating the University’s spatial data and floor plans, ensuring information is accurate and up to date. You will work closely with various teams to support space management processes and contribute to system improvements driven by audits and projects.
You will apply your technical skills in GIS and CAD to produce detailed drawings and manage spatial records, while also helping to develop data management solutions. Strong attention to detail, effective communication, and a problem-solving mindset will be essential as you collaborate with stakeholders and support the ongoing growth of the University’s information systems.
About Property, Facilities and Development
The Property, Facilities and Development (PFD) team works across all of Flinders’ places, spaces, and physical infrastructure. Working across four key areas: Strategic Planning and Sustainability; Capital Development; Customer and Site Services; and Strategic Projects, we are responsible for the planning, development, capital delivery, management, and maintenance of university spaces to ensure they are fit for purpose and support Flinders to deliver its strategic objectives. The PFD team is leading the planning, development, and delivery of four major strategic projects as the University strives to achieve its bold ambitions.
