Spares Assembler builds sub-assemblies needed for aircraft interiors spares production. Assigned tasks will be performed within prescribed cycle/budget time while maintaining the Company’s standards of quality. Employees will function as a key member of the team on the production line, sometimes with limited supervision.
What you will be responsible for:
Positions, installs, and assembles parts and subassemblies by reading/following work instructions and using templates (as required) on all seat product lines.
Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies.
Access computer systems, pull and follow assembly instructions, drawings, parts lists, wire lists and diagrams.
Must be able to follow verbal instructions.
Complete all required paperwork and parts documentation.
Utilizes small hand tools such as crimpers, wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, torque wrenches, cutters of various types, and other standard wiring and assembly tools.
Comply with safety and company policies and use protective equipment as required.
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
What you will need to be successful in this role.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Basic computer skills.
One (1) year work experience in a complex assembly environment preferred.
Must have the ability to read and comprehend blueprints, work instructions, and other technical data.
Must possess good interpersonal skills with a strong desire to work in a teamwork environment.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, work instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in various units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language
