Job Description

The Aero Alliance spare parts S&OP leader will be responsible for leading the aero parts SIOP process including forecasting and planning for aeroderivative hardware spares for internal shops and external customers of the Aero Alliance (50/50 GE Power & Baker Hughes Joint Venture); internal coordination of parts team activities; work closely with the primary parts vendor (GE Aerospace) to assure forecast demand/supply alignment and proactively support process improvements initiatives

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead spare parts planning activities at supplier lead times for Aero Alliance internal shops and external customers (GE Power/Baker Hughes and Authorized Service providers) based on historical consumption and shop visits schedule.
  • Own inventory planning through definition of safety stock policy and reordering points
  • Work closely with cross-functional team to identify risks and opportunities for improved planning, including “right part, right time” strategy and safety stock
  • Execute forecast/order conversion in respect of the agreed spare parts lead times assuring consistent demand/supply balance and inventory build aligned with business targets
  • Collaborate closely with GE Aviation as primary vendor for aeroderivative engines hardware to monitor forecast/supply variations and take corrective actions accordingly
  • Work with the Digital Technology team to support continuous improvements of the parts SIOP process & tools implementing the forecasting models leveraged.
  • Drive collaboration with the repair shop Sales & Operations Planning (SIOP) leader to adjust forecast and planning based on the potential gaps envisioned for the future events or driven by repair vendor capacity issues.
  • Work with Platform/Program managers to identify fleet-wide dynamics driving incremental demand for shop visits (unplanned events) and to define proper parts forecast strategy related to the NPI (New Product Introduction) projects.
  • Internal coordination of the parts team members, driving standard work implementation
  • Host and lead the Supply Management Review for materials and lead communications to senior leadership leadership for critical situations and investment approvals
  • Own and maintain process key metrics to detect forecast biases and implement corrective actions

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business or related field of study
  • 5+ years’ experience in Supply Chain, Operations or Planning function

Desired Characteristics

  • Experience with Integrated Business Planning/Enterprise Business Planning
  • Proven track record of delivering results in a dynamic business environment
  • Experience that demonstrates technical knowledge and understanding of Gas Turbine systems – Aeroderivatives is an advantage
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in Operations, S&OP or other Supply Chain function, Lean
  • Self-directed with demonstrated leadership and problem solving skills
  • Displays excellent personal skills, and able to communicate well with internal and external customers
  • Lean or Six Sigma Green Belt certification or equivalent quality certification
  • Ability to build complex planning models, including collaboration with Digital Technology
  • Demonstrated ability to meet goals and objectives
  • PC Proficiency

  • Understands business objectives and drives specific tasks required to meet the objectives
  • Understands products, capabilities and limitations in sufficient detail to be able to develop offerings that meet customer needs

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $69,100 - $103,700 USD. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
