We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Spare Parts Coordinator to oversee the inventory management system for our baggage handling department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of inventory levels, Coordinating and planning preventive maintenance schedules, ensuring the availability of necessary supplies, and facilitating efficient operations within the baggage handling system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the inventory management system for spare parts, maintaining accurate records of stock levels, and ensuring timely replenishment as needed.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to procure required spare parts, negotiating favorable terms and prices while upholding quality standards.
  • Conduct regular audits and checks to verify the accuracy of inventory records, identifying discrepancies and implementing corrective measures as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance and operational teams to forecast spare parts requirements, ensuring that adequate stock is available to support the efficient functioning of the baggage handling system.
  • Utilize inventory management software to track spare parts inventory levels, generate reports, and streamline inventory control processes.
  • Implement efficient storage and organization systems for spare parts, optimizing space utilization and ensuring easy accessibility for the operational team.
  • Accurately plan preventive work orders to cover the full scope of operations, maintenance, and safety requirements.
  • Manage calibration records and schedules for all facility instrumentation
  • Responsible for work order backlog management to ensure they are planned and scheduled with proper priority within the required timeframe and closed properly.
  • Coordinate and plan preventive maintenance schedules using DOS Maximo to ensure the operational readiness and reliability of the baggage handling system.
  • Work closely with the maintenance team to ensure all preventive maintenance activities are scheduled and executed on time, minimizing system downtime and ensuring optimal performance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s in supply chain management, Business Administration, or diploma in the related field.
  • Experience in spare parts management, preferably in aviation/logistics.
  • Skilled in inventory management software and tools.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with an analytical approach to inventory tracking.
  • Effective communicator and team collaborator.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of aviation safety protocols and regulations.
  • Minimum 4 years in operations/maintenance of complex conveyor systems.
  • Proficient in MS Office and DOS Maximo.
  • On-site maintenance experience, preferably in airports.
  • Leadership skills and customer focus.
