Spanish Long-Term Sub Teacher 26-27

Reports to Principal

Spanish Teacher - Long Term Substitute role for 2026/27 School Year (benefit eligible)

Start date: August 20, 2026

Bishop Blanchet High School is a 9-12 grade Catholic school located in Seattle, WA and is committed to attracting and retaining outstanding individuals to better reflect the racial, cultural, and gender diversity of our student population. Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in specific content area; Master's degree or higher preferred
  • Preferred: Washington State Teaching credential (or ability to obtain one) in content area
  • This is a long term sub position for 2026-2027 school year with the possibility of extending

The ideal candidate will have a commitment to:

  • Required: Possess ability to teach Spanish 1 and Spanish 2
  • Collaborate in Professional Learning Communities and working toward consensus with team members
  • Structure student learning to meet Common Core, State, National, or other standards
  • Create common formative and summative assessments with department team members
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners
  • Strategize for enrichment/intervention to meet the needs of all students
  • Utilize technology (interactive boards, one-to-one devices, google suite) to inform instruction

Compensation and Summary of Benefits:

  • Competitive prorated salary based on experience and education
  • Salary Range: $73,337 - $143,359
