Salary Range: $85,694 to $141,638 plus superannuation. Salary is determined based on years of teaching service.

About the Role

The Spanish Teacher delivers high-quality teaching and learning that engages, challenges, and supports students to develop confidence and fluency in Spanish. You will plan and deliver communicative, well-structured lessons that build students' skills in speaking, reading, writing, and listening, while deepening their understanding of the cultures and communities of the Spanish-speaking world. You will create a positive and inclusive learning environment, respond to the diverse needs and abilities of your students, and use assessment and feedback to monitor progress and guide next steps in their learning. Working collaboratively with colleagues and families, you will contribute to a strong languages culture where every student is supported to thrive.

This appointment is temporary to replace an employee who is on parental leave. The incumbent is entitled to return earlier to their substantive position in accordance with the Fair Work Act 2009.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Education/Teaching or Master of Teaching
• ACT Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration
• ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI) registration
• Accreditation to Work, Teach and Lead in Catholic Education, Canberra and Goulburn Policy
