Huron Valley Schools is seeking an enthusiastic, energetic, and innovative Spanish teacher to fulfill a vacancy at White Lake Middle School.

Position Type: Instructional - Middle School/Foreign Language Spanish (1.0 FTE)

Location: 052 – White Lake Middle School

Salary: Per HVEA contract

Reports To: Principal

Status: 2026/2027

Start Date: 8/12/2026

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Must hold a valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with a Spanish FF 6-12 or K-12 endorsement with secondary experience
• Must meet requirements for Highly Qualified
• Knowledge of instructional pedagogy as it relates to second language acquisition, particularly Comprehensible Input and its applications in daily teaching
• Willingness to work collaboratively in a team-focused environment

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The Spanish teacher's responsibilities include teaching oral and written Spanish, tailoring lesson plans to individual students or classes, and setting homework and assessments. Effective communication with staff, families, and students.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's Degree or higher.

LANGUAGE, MATHEMATICAL AND REASONING SKILLS: Ability to speak and write effectively. Ability to apply mathematical concepts to practical situations. Ability to carry out instructions

furnished in written or oral format and deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
