Astroscale France are looking for a systems engineer to support the growth of our Toulouse office, and to help in the design and development of our new missions and projects.
As a Systems Engineer you are central to the design of our missions.
You will work as the mission architect, facilitating trade-offs across system design, requiring collaboration with sub systems engineers and project managers while balancing the needs of missions and steering the technical solutions towards an achievable conclusion.
At Astroscale, our Systems Engineers are involved on a mission from beginning to end. Starting with writing bids to customers, then developing and analysing the design during the early mission phases; you will be supporting testing during AIT (and leading system testing), during the launch campaign and finally assist with in-orbit commissioning of the satellite.
It doesn't end there though! Even after the mission is in orbit, as a Systems Engineer you may be called upon at critical moments during the mission to provide guidance to the operations team.

About Astroscale
Astroscale is the first private company with a vision to secure the safe and sustainable development of space for the benefit of future generations, and the only company dedicated to in-orbit servicing across all orbits. Founded in 2013, we are developing innovative and scalable solutions across the spectrum of in-orbit servicing missions, including End of Life services, Active Debris Removal, In-situ Space Situational Awareness and Life Extension Services, to create sustainable space systems and mitigate against the hazardous build-up of debris in space.
We aim to deliver cutting edge technologies that will become part of routine commercial space operations by 2030.

Founded in 2013, Astroscale is the global leader in on-orbit servicing, dedicated to the secure and sustainable development of space for the benefit of future generations. The company provides trusted and value-added solutions for government and commercial clients from their geography of choice, to drive the long-term, circular space economy. Astroscale is also collaborating with government and commercial stakeholders to develop norms, regulations, and incentives that promote the sustainable growth of space.
Since its first successful launch in March 2021, Astroscale has proven rendezvous and proximity operations technologies in orbit during the ELSA-d and ADRAS-J missions, establishing the company as a leader in on-orbit servicing. Astroscale spacecraft have been selected for pioneering missions with JAXA, the U.S. Space Force, the European Space Agency, the UK Space Agency, and Eutelsat OneWeb. As more satellite operators adopt on-orbit servicing to routinely inspect, service and remove, the potential of a circular space economy — and a future of no waste in space — is being unlocked.
Headquartered in Japan, Astroscale has a global presence with subsidiaries in the United Kingdom, the United States, France, and Israel.
