This is a hybrid role reporting into the reporting into the Support Center at Legacy West in Plano Texas.

About the role

This position drives all micro space planning, including Planograms, Visual Merchandising standards/execution, store support, CKB Web publishing, space automation/optimization, and planogram level analytics and performance measurements. This position drives the Planogram Set Timeline and related tasks, in partnership with the Floor Planning team, the Space Planning and Floor Planning Managers, and the Sr Director Merchandise Operations. The Space Planning Analyst supports initiatives including in-store collateral placement, improved customer experience in stores, visual merchandising standards across all POGs, and overarching project management for related work.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the creation and updates of merchandise planogram versions to ensure compliance with all applicable merchandising standards, product assortments, and productivity metrics. Planogram execution must be aligned with the overall space merchandising strategies of the organization’s sales and inventory goals. Executes all local, area and regional planogram creation and updates for all stores.
  • Execute quality control measures for merchandise planograms, ensuring accuracy of SKU assignments, compliance with strategic vision and/or corporate standards; emphasis on accuracy, consistency, attention to detail, and an inquisitive growth mindset. Maintain product integrity for images and dimensions for all items as it relates to planogram processes and guidelines.
  • Support SBH sales, inventory and profit objectives as it relates to developing, analyzing, and maintaining micro space and merchandise planogram rules and guidelines.
  • Provide analysis using Space Planning and CKB (JDA), along with other tools, looking for opportunities to improve merchandise planograms; consistently performs detailed work with accuracy. Analyzes space and SKU performance metrics, such as margin and sales, and provides recommendations to the Merchandising department.
  • Responsible for store support regarding planogram execution; acts with a strong sense of urgency and takes responsibility for finding solutions. Acts as a champion and advocate for the stores in collaboration with other departments.

Knowledge, skills & abilities requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising, Visual Merchandising, Business or related field
  • Strong command of JDA Space Planning and CKB software to create and report on space to sales, visual merchandising, and space-planning, to drive better product placement and shopper-based decisions on shelf.
  • At least 2 years of experience in JDA Space Planning and Category Management software. Knowledge of JDA Floor Planning is a bonus.
  • 2-4 years of related work experience, including project management, retail operations, and visual merchandising.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Suite including: Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and/or CREDENTIALS:

  • JDA certifications
  • Experience in a tier 1 retailer’s development process for planograms and working through the entire line review process.

Working conditions & physical requirements

This will be a hybrid role required to be onsite at the corporate office on specified days. The work environment generally involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, retail stores, and residences or commercial vehicles, e.g., use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire regulations and traffic signals, etc. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated.

The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking, standing, bending, and occasionally requires carrying, moving and setting up of computers, for example desktops, monitors, printers, and other small hardware in the testing lab.
