Job Description

Guerlain, a French perfume, cosmetics and skincare house, which is among the oldest in the world, is a perfect compliment to the hotels passion for a balanced lifestyle.

The partnership will create an exclusive new menu of personalized treatments focusing on beauty and wellbeing while using signature products for facials, massages and body treatments.

The Guerlain Spa will offer ten treatment rooms with gorgeous pre-and-post stay relaxation areas with spectacular views overlooking Lake Ontario - providing guests with a luxurious and relaxing retreat.

ROLE

  • Be an Ambassador for the GUERLAIN brand, its history, values and know-how
  • Oversee the Spa Reception and retail areas demonstrating a high level of professionalism and report to Spa director

CONTRIBUTIONS & MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Embody the brand’s history and values and share your enthusiasm with customers
  • Welcome Guests and Clients upon arrival, obtain or receive merchandise, total bill, accept cash and credit payments, and make change for customers.
  • Build a lasting relationship with customers, secure their loyalty

Be a support for the spa day to day operation

  • Check appointments daily, weekly to meet business demands and maximizing schedule “no gap policy”
  • Welcoming guest to the spa, cashier and cash-outs, coordinating practitioner schedule and appointments and other administration duties including relevant reports.
  • Providing personalized and exceptional guest service at every given opportunity, and ensure high standards is delivered to each guest by all staff
  • Move appointments when a situation arises ensuring the optimum guest experience.
  • Be aware of all service providers schedule and ensure that if they are not booked, they have another duty assigned to them.
  • Assist in spa cleaning and organization of all areas of the spa. Oversee the duties of Spa Attendants, Spa Receptionists and Service Providers and directing and assisting as needed.
  • Meeting established up-selling and sales goals.
  • Assist the Spa Director in the development and implementation of Spa Standard Operating Procedures, in the supervision and growth of the staff.
  • Be responsible for the administration of goods, inventories, storage and cost effective usage of all related materials and assets according to Standards to ensure for smooth operation

Be a team player

  • Work hand in hand with the Beauty training manager in training new reception colleagues on all aspects of reception duties including promotions, changes, product and updates to operation when required.
  • Participate in regular staff meetings coordinated by the spa director
  • Be a leader for contributing a positive team atmosphere for learning & dvlp, and by conveying clear instructions and guidance to staff
  • Work with the spa director in planning events/large groups/ bridal/corporate.

  • Ensure that the welcome ritual is followed precisely, that the cabin is prepared, and that the diagnosis, treatment, service rituals and customer follow-up are all performed perfectly.
  • Inspire all colleagues to achieve sales and rebooking objectives

  • Flexible shift availability including evenings, weekends and holidays. Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required.

EXPERIENCE

  • At least 3 years of experience overseeing a team
  • Spa industry knowledge preferred
  • Computer literate (Word)

Job Type: Full-time

Compensation: 50-60k
