For our Quality team, we are looking for a Quality Engineer to help us drive Electrification & Automation Business within Siemens and beyond. We are a highly motivated team and are excited to get to know you.

You’ll make an impact by

  • Lead PCBA failure analysis for production defects and customer returns, drive 8D, root-cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions with R&D, manufacturing, suppliers, and customers; verify action effectiveness and prevent recurrence.
  • Analyze defects across PCB fabrication and PCBA manufacturing processes, including SMT/THT assembly, soldering, placement, contamination, and test; work with manufacturing to improve process capability.
  • Use SPC and Six Sigma methods to analyze test data; identify trends, prioritize improvement projects.
  • Develop and optimize test methods for ICT/FCT by LabVIEW, Python, or equivalent tools.
  • Identify design-related failure risks and provide DFMEA, and reliability improvement recommendations.
  • Supplier audit based on VDA6.3.

Your defining qualities

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related discipline; 5+ years of relevant experience in PCB/PCBA hardware design, failure analysis, product engineering, or quality engineering.
  • Hands-on circuit analysis and hardware debugging experience; able to read schematics, PCB layouts, component datasheets, and test specifications, and proficient with common instruments such as DMMs and oscilloscopes.
  • Solid understanding of PCB fabrication and PCBA manufacturing processes, including SMT/THT, solder paste printing, placement, reflow/wave soldering, AOI/SPI/X-ray, ICT, and FCT, together with common defect mechanisms.
  • Experience applying structured root-cause methods, 8D, FMEA, SPC, and Six Sigma tools to solve cross-functional quality problems.
  • English written and communication skills is needed.
  • PCB hardware design and debugging experience in analog, digital, power, or mixed-signal circuits is preferred.
  • Familiarity with applicable IPC workmanship/acceptance standards and reliability testing is preferred.
  • Experience with test automation or data analysis using Python,LabVIEW, or equivalent tools is a plus.
  • Experience with protection relays or industrial electronic products is preferred.
  • Strong ownership, logical thinking, and clear technical-report writing in a cross-functional environment.
