Job Title - Spa Assistant Manager

Reports to - Spa Manager

In the heart of the village, nestled between the snowy mountains of British Columbia’s interior at Big White ski resort, The Spa at Stonebridge provides the ultimate alpine getaway experience! We are a seasonally run spa at Big White ski resort looking to build a dynamic team of spa practitioners for the upcoming winter season. We are currently seeking a Spa Supervisor to join our spa team for the upcoming winter 2026/2027 season on a contract term. The Spa Assistant Manager will be responsible for assuming managerial duties when the spa manager is not present, performing spa treatments and reception/admin duties.

Schedule:

• Full Time - 5 days per week
• Weekend availability

Job duties and responsibilities:

• Perform spa therapy treatments such as facials, body scrubs, massage and nail therapy.
• Oversee front desk operations with booking management and customer service - Resolving guest concerns or complaints and optimizing bookings to maximize schedule.
• Monitor emails, voice messages and guest inquiries.
• Assist with managing intake forms and enforcing protocols and SOPS of daily operations
• Assist with managing retail inventory and sales.
• Team leadership - Must possess an approachable personality and be able to provide direction, assist with conflict resolution amongst staff and assist with training/scheduling needs.
• Act as the Manager on duty and oversee spa operations during the Spa Managers absence.
• Assist with daily operations in the spa including but not limited to laundry, cleaning and guest services.

Qualifications:

• Must carry a diploma or certification in massage or spa/beauty therapy.
• Previous experience working in a spa setting
• Reception/Admin experience
• Previous role in a leadership position
• Flexible and approachable
• Must have good time management skills
• Must be able to relocate to Big White ski resort for the season or commute to and from work
• Must carry a valid work visa to work in Canada
• Language - English

Experience:

• Minimum 1 year experience required

Physical requirements:

• Must be capable of lifting 25 to 50 lbs on occasion
• Will be standing or sitting for long periods of time
• Must be capable of standing, walking up stairs and commuting in the snow
• Must be capable of spa therapy treatments and performing 4 to 5 treatments per shift

Compensation

• Hourly wage ($22.50/hr) + commission and tips
• Seasonal Contract term - November 2026 to April 2027
