Job Description

The Spa & Salon Manager supports the Director of Spa, Salon & Locker Rooms in overseeing the daily operations of the Spa & Salon while ensuring an elevated member and guest experience aligned with East Bank Club service standards. This role focuses heavily on day-to-day operational execution, team support, service consistency, cleanliness standards, and staff accountability.

The Manager serves as a visible floor leader who supports team development, operational flow, member satisfaction, and consistent execution of luxury hospitality standards. This position works closely with department leaders and providers to ensure the Spa & Salon operate efficiently, professionally, and with exceptional attention to detail.

Compensation: $70,000 annually based on qualifications and experience

Key Responsibilities

Daily Operations & Service Execution

  • Support and oversee daily Spa & Salon operations to ensure a clean, organized, and service-focused environment.
  • Maintain consistent Forbes-level (EBC) presentation standards throughout treatment rooms, salon stations, reception areas, retail displays, and storage spaces.
  • Conduct routine walk-throughs and inspections to ensure cleanliness, readiness, and operational consistency.
  • Ensure opening, operational, and closing procedures are completed accurately and consistently.
  • Address operational challenges, member concerns, and service recovery situations promptly and professionally.

Team Leadership & Staff Support

  • Assist with scheduling, onboarding, training, coaching, and performance follow-up for Spa & Salon team members, including annual performance reviews.
  • Support daily labor management, attendance tracking, client retention, and staffing adjustments based on business demands.
  • Timely review and processing of schedules, payroll, timecards, and commissions.
  • Reinforce EBC service standards through floor presence, coaching, and ongoing accountability.
  • Lead daily huddles and communicate operational priorities, service expectations, and departmental updates.
  • Enforce company policies, manage disciplinary actions, and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Develop, mentor, and empower team members to handle all issues on the floor when manager is not present.
  • Foster a positive, professional, and hospitality-driven team culture.

Forbes Service Standards

  • Lead by example in delivering warm greetings, anticipatory service, personalized interactions, and professional farewells.
  • Ensure team members maintain exceptional presentation, professionalism, and attention to detail.
  • Support the delivery of consistent WOW experiences aligned with East Bank Club’s service culture and core values.
  • Monitor service consistency and provide real-time coaching opportunities to elevate the member experience.

Administrative & Operational Support

  • Support inventory management, including ordering, stock level monitoring, replenishment, receiving, retail presentation, receiving, and operational organization.
  • Assist with productivity tracking, reporting, scheduling coordination, and operational follow-up.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, communication postings, and policy compliance.
  • Partner with the Director on service enhancements, operational improvements, trainings, budget and departmental initiatives.
  • Coordinate with Facilities and vendors regarding maintenance and operational needs.
  • Develop, mentor, and empower receptionists and attendants to handle all issues on the floor when manager is not present.
  • Other tasks as assigned by the COO or Senior Leader.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a spa, salon, luxury hospitality, or service-focused environment.
  • Strong hospitality mindset with the ability to lead teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, organization, follow-through, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to coach and hold team members accountable while maintaining a positive culture.
  • Experience with scheduling, payroll support, and daily operational oversight required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and operational systems.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.

Physical Requirements

  • Standing and walking for extended periods throughout operational areas.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, and movement throughout the department.
  • Occasional need to use a ladder for stock/inventory needs.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Possible travel to meetings and conferences in and out of town, which may include overnight accommodations.
