About the role

Due to an impending retirement, we have an exciting opportunity for a Southern Region Distribution Manager to lead distribution operations across multiple sites throughout Victoria, Tasmania and South Australia.

Based at our Sunshine Distribution Centre and reporting to the GM Supply Chain APAC, this newly expanded regional leadership role will oversee operations across Sunshine, Derrimut, Wynyard and our South Australian distribution network. You will be responsible for driving operational excellence, leading transformation initiatives, developing regional distribution strategies and building high-performing teams across the region.

This role offers a unique blend of strategic leadership and hands-on operational management, making it ideal for an experienced supply chain professional who thrives on driving change, improving performance and delivering exceptional customer outcomes.

What will you do

  • Lead and develop a culture of safety, accountability and continuous improvement across multiple distribution sites.

  • Take full ownership of regional distribution performance, ensuring service, productivity, inventory and cost targets are achieved.

  • Drive operational excellence initiatives, process improvements and network optimisation projects across the Southern Region.

  • Lead key transformation programs, including site performance improvement, capability development and systems optimisation.

  • Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency, customer service and supply chain performance.

  • Partner with Supply Chain Leadership to support regional distribution strategy and future network design.

  • Monitor and improve key performance indicators including DIFOT, inventory accuracy, safety, productivity and cost performance.

  • Lead, coach and mentor Distribution Centre leaders and operational teams to build capability and succession pipelines.

  • Collaborate with manufacturing, planning, procurement, customer service and sales teams to deliver integrated supply chain outcomes.

  • Manage regional budgets, labour resources, third-party providers and operational expenditure.

  • Travel regularly between sites to provide visible leadership and support operational excellence initiatives.

About you

  • A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business or a related discipline.

  • 10 years + leadership experience across distribution, warehousing or supply chain operations, ideally within a multi-site environment.

  • Proven success leading change, transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Strong commercial acumen, with experience managing budgets, operational performance and cost efficiency.

  • Experience with warehouse management systems, with SAP EWM experience highly regarded.

  • Strong knowledge of distribution, logistics, inventory management and supply chain best practice.

  • Demonstrated ability to build high-performing teams through coaching, mentoring and leadership.

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and communicate across all levels of the organisation.

  • A visible, hands-on leadership style with an unwavering commitment to safety.

  • Curiosity, initiative and a growth mindset, with the drive to challenge the status quo and continuously improve outcomes.

  • The ability to travel regularly across Victoria, Tasmania and South Australia.
