Location: Burnley Salary: £35,000 – £37,500 (DOE) Hours: 45–48 per week Venue: Inn, Restaurant & Wedding Venue

The Opportunity

Looking to step up into a Senior Sous role or develop further as a Sous Chef?

Join an independently owned, modern country inn and restaurant serving fresh, seasonal food prepared in-house. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with an experienced Head Chef, developing both your cooking and financial skills.

You’ll be part of a supportive, passionate team in a well-established venue with a strong reputation for quality food and service.

You’ll have input into menus and specials, while maintaining high standards across food quality, hygiene, and kitchen organisation. You’ll also support training and development of junior team members.

With direct access to the owners, decisions are made quickly and investment in the kitchen is always supported.

The team is stable, friendly, and takes pride in delivering consistently high standards.

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Sous Chef
  • Experience in British gastro pub or similar fresh food environments
  • Strong leadership skills with a hands-on approach
  • Good understanding of GP margins and stock control
  • Team player with a positive, no-ego attitude
  • Passion for fresh, seasonal cooking
