On behalf of our client, we are looking for an experienced full-time Sous Chef (f/m/d) for an award-winning, family-run organic hotel in Madeira.

Located on the southwest coast of Madeira, the hotel stands for quality, sustainability, and warm hospitality. Nestled against the stunning backdrop of the flower-filled island of Madeira, the hotel offers a vacation for connoisseurs with regional organic cuisine, tranquility, and breathtaking views of the Atlantic.

Your Responsibilities:

• Supporting the Head Chef in managing all kitchen operations

• Assisting in leading, motivating, and developing the kitchen team (incl. assistants, kitchen staff, and service personnel)

• Ensuring adherence to top culinary and hygiene standards

• Contributing to the creation and implementation of a regional, organic-focused menu

• Coordinating with the Head Chef and hotel management to optimize processes and enhance guest satisfaction

Your Profile:

• Several years of experience in a responsible kitchen role within hotel or hospitality environments

• Strong organizational skills, accountability, and team spirit

• Passion for creative, regionally inspired cuisine with sustainable ingredients

• Language skills: Fluent English and Portuguese required; German is a plus

• Enthusiasm for living and working on one of Europes most beautiful islands
